SINGAPORE HEALTH & BIOMEDICAL CONGRESS 2019 was held at Singapore Expo, Singapore from 10th to 12th October 2019.

This year's SHBC was by far the biggest and most attended.

Dr Tan Jit Seng from Lotus Eldercare was invited to chair one of their track's session titled:

Crisis & Complex Care: Innovations in the Cancer Journey

Track synopsis -

Hospital admission is often the last option for anyone seeking medical treatment. Most are more comfortable being themselves in their own homes. Patients, especially older adults, will be much happier receiving treatment from clinics and monitored in their own homes. Such arrangements are getting increasingly possible from new services, technologies and innovations using cloud based support and tele consultations. Newer form of biopsies, like “liquid biopsies” can detect cancer cells and provide quicker and less hassle diagnosis and monitoring. In this track, we seek the look at the possibilities now and in future to allow hospital free management of cancers.

It was a lively event and we learnt much from the speakers!
