Mr. Thein Ko Oo is a registered nurse in Myanmar Nurses & Midwifery Council as well as Singapore Nursing Board. He obtained his Bachelor of Nursing Science from University of Nursing (Mandalay), Myanmar in 2002.

In 2003, He started his professional career as a Coronary Care Unit nurse at Asia Royal Hospital in Myanmar. As a CCU trained nurse, he involved in Emergency Response team and Intensive Care team in hospital.

In 2005, He came to Singapore and joined to Ren Ci Hospital. He has well-backed in eldercare throughout his career as a Singapore Registered Nurse. He completed his Basic Palliative Care Nursing from Dover Park Hospice, Singapore in 2010 and become a facilitator of Advance Care Planning Program which is running by Agency for Integrated Care under MOH, Singapore. He participated in Project Care which is implemented by Tan Tock Seng Hospital and funded by MOH.

In 2013, He extended his career by joining at Alexandra Hospital, Jurong Health. He worked as a Registered Nurse in Geriatric Care Ward.

In 2014, He joined at Noble Lamp Technical Services Co., Ltd. He is responsible for overall center management and cooperating with both local and foreign stake holders. He partnered with Lotus Eldercare Academy and provide as a volunteer trainer in Specialized Caregiver Training. He also involves in social and welfare activities which conducing by Lotus Eldercare Academy, Singapore.

Theint Thiri Lwin

Ms Theint Thiri Lwin worked as a Nursing Aide at Angsana Home @Pelangi Village, Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, Singapore from Feb 2012 to Oct 2013.

She returned to Cambodia to work as a Staff Nurse at the Hemodialysis ward, SSC, Women Center from Nov 2013.

Leviseda Bun Douglas

Mrs Douglas is born in Cambodia and had suffered for 4 years under the Khmer Rouge and another 4 years in refugee camps. She had lost everything, including her father and 5 siblings.  However, through a humanitarian program, she and her remaining family and were given a chance to restart their lives in Australia.  She is very thankful for the opportunities given to her and thinks that it is her chance now to provide opportunities to those in need.

She had a long and illustrious career as a Broadcaster & Executive Producer for ABC Radio Australia from 1992 to 2014.  She mentored and led the team in Australia and Cambodia in producing programs for radio and online.  She was awarded a Medal in 2014 from the Cambodian Minister of Information for contributing to media development and education to the disadvantaged rural population.  She was the only staff member in the Khmer Service to be granted interviews by phone and in person with the Prime Ministers of Cambodia.

Mrs Douglas is also an Interpreting and Translation Teacher at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia from 2002 to 2004.

Mrs Douglas set up SCCFA in 2003.  SCCFA is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-political and non-governmental organization, staffed entirely by volunteers, focusing on providing education and support to young victims of abject poverty.  SCCFA secured a two-hectare block of land in 2013 and built a school 2014 in remote area of Cambodia.  The school is currently educating nearly 200 primary school students.  She received a Recognition Medal from the Cambodian PM in 2014 for her contribution to rebuilding and development in Cambodia.  In 2007, she is a finalist in the Australian of the Year Awards for her humanitarian work in and outside Australia.

Mrs Douglas is passionate in helping the less fortunate.  She had spent the last 13 years implementing preventative measures by empowering vulnerable communities through education and training.  She firmly believes that prevention is better than cure.  The founding of SCCFA in 2003 is the result of her passion and commitment to the cause.

From May 2009 to Apr 2011, she worked as a Junior Staff Nurse at Medical and Surgical Wards at Asia Royal Hospital, Yangon, Myanmar.

From Jul 2011 to Apr 2014, she came to Singapore to work as a Nursing Aide at St. Luke’s Hospital, Singapore.

Dr Khun Rithya graduated in 1999 with Diploma of Medical Doctor from University of Health Sciences, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.  From 2009 to 2012, he did a fellowship of rheumatology in University Hospital, Geneva, Switzerland and attained Certificate of EULAR (European lead against rheumatology).

Dr Khun Rithya started as a Junior Doctor at Sihanouk Hospital Center of HOPE (SHCH), Phnom Penh, Cambodia in 1999.  He became a Senior Doctor in 2004.  From 2008, he became an Associate Staff at SHCH and Medical Chief of staff. He is in charge of overall supervision and management at emergency department, inpatient and outpatient care.  He teaches and supervises junior and senior doctors and medical staff.  He is also Consultant of Rheumatology in SHCH and three HOPE worldwide medical clinics.

From 2012, he also became the technical adviser to Asia Institute of Sciences.

Dr Khun Rithya also lectures at International Medical School and SHCH.
